Unalone is not a crisis service
Unalone is not a suicide-prevention service, crisis line, emergency responder, medical emergency service, child-protection service, or law-enforcement channel. It cannot guarantee real-time monitoring of conversations, detection of risk, human intervention, welfare checks, dispatch of help, or any form of rescue.
If you are in crisis
If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm, are in severe distress, or are at risk of harming yourself or others, immediately:
- Contact your local emergency services (in India: 112).
- Call one of the crisis helplines listed above.
- Go to the nearest hospital emergency department.
- Contact a qualified mental-health professional.
- Reach out to a trusted family member or friend nearby.
If someone else is in danger
If you believe another person is at risk — including abuse, domestic violence, violence toward others, child endangerment, or a medical emergency — contact local emergency services or the appropriate authorities. Do not use Unalone to monitor or manage that situation.
Situations this applies to
Suicidal thoughts, self-harm urges, abuse (physical, sexual, emotional, or domestic), threats or danger to others, medical emergencies, overdose, severe eating-disorder episodes, and acute severe distress of any kind.
Crisis-detection limitations
The Service does not include guaranteed automated crisis detection. Any safety response, if provided, may fail to recognise a crisis, may respond incorrectly or with delay, and does not involve guaranteed human review or intervention. You must not rely on it.
No duty of rescue
To the extent permitted by law, Unalone and its operators do not assume any duty to monitor, detect, respond to, or intervene in any crisis, and are not liable for any failure to do so. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
